Bible Studies

Additional adult small group Bible Studies are offered throughout the year on week days. A study of JAMES is the focus of Pastor Kraig Faust’s 4-week Bible Study series at the Mont Alto UMC.  The current study will begin on March 04, 2021.

The study is free to the public and guests are welcome to attend at anytime throughout the year.  Each Thursday, participants can choose between the afternoon session from 2:00 to 3:00 PM or the evening session from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.  The group meets at Mont Alto UMC at 10 Main Street, Mont Alto.  For more information, please call the Church Office (717-749-5064) or attend any session.

Children’s Ministry

Children are important to God, and to us too. We recognize that God gives everyone special talents, including children. Therefore, the South Franklin Charge offers a variety of activities and opportunities for children to participate in worship and to grow in their love of Jesus.

Children and Youth Bible Studies:
CHAMPS, an acronym for Children’s Hearts And Minds Pursuing the Savior, includes Bible lessons, music, snacks, games and more. CHAMPS involves two groups, one for elementary age children and another for middle and high school kids. The two groups meet at Central Baptist Church in Mont Alto on Sunday evenings from 5:15 to 7:00PM during the school year.  This program is temporary suspended due to the COVID situation.  The ministry is slated to begin with the new school year in September 2021.

Vacation Bible School is sponsored by South Franklin (UMC) Charge and Central Baptist Church during the summertime.  VBS 2021 will not be offered due to the COVID situation and the safety of our helpers, but should be back in 2022.

Activities (Some ministries may not be offered due to COVID)
– Easter Presentation and Annual Easter Egg Hunt
– Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes Packing (through Samaritan Purse)
– Christmas Presentation
