What is worship like?
The worship service is designed to draw people together to praise God, hear His message, and sing hymns. Our format focuses mainly on the traditional music and elements. Since participation of the entire congregation is essential, we want our main focus to be offering our best worship to God for His glory. One of the great challenges of our time in the churches is to recover a sense of the congregation as a community who participate fully, actively, and consciously before God in word and sacraments.
What do I wear?
Come as you are! At our churches, you will find everything from jeans and shorts to dresses and sport coats. Wear whatever attire you feel is appropriate and comfortable.
How do we observe Holy Communion?
We celebrate Holy Communion during the various seasons of the church liturgical year (approximately once a month). Christ welcomed everyone to His table, and so do we. All we ask is that you be in a right relationship with Christ and with your fellow man.
What’s available for Children?
As Jesus engaged the children, we invite and encourage children to participate in all aspects of worship. We have Sunday School available at Mont Alto UMC for all ages. Quincy UMC offers Youth Bible Study for all school-age children.
As an alternative for children up to age four, both churches offer a nursery staffed by Safe Sanctuary certified volunteers.
